GCash Voucher Pocket codes before it EXPIRES! This tutorial will try to answer
all questions related to GCash vouchers. This steb-by-step guide also aims to contain
everything you need to know about GCash Voucher Pocket so it won’t expire and go
to waste.
How to
use GCash QR Voucher:
- Open and log-in to your GCash app
- Go to the Voucher section and select the Voucher that you want to use
- A screen will appear asking you to scan the GCash QR code of the merchant (i.e Puregold, National Bookstore, KFC, etc…)
- Enter the total amount of the item/s being purchased
- Press use "available QR GCash Vouchers"
- Choose the one that you want to use by pressing the circle on the right side. Remember, only one Voucher can be used per transaction or receipt
- The discount will automatically apply.
- At this point, the merchant must also receive a text message of the payment
- Show the reference number of the transaction to the cashier
How will I
know if the establishment accepts GCash payment?
As
long as they have the GCash QR code displayed near cash registrar machine, they
should accept GCash payments. Usually, they also have a sign in front saying “We
accept payment by GCash”
How will I
know if the establishment will accepts GCash Voucher?
The
GCash voucher pocket you receive usually has certain conditions where to use
that voucher. It can be seen in the Voucher Pocket and also stated in the text
message from 2882
Where to use
GCash Voucher?
You
will know the merchant to which you can use the voucher. For example:
- if you have a Voucher Pocket that says KFC QR Promo, then you can only use that voucher at KFC. If you have
- if the voucher says Puregold, then that can only be used at Puregold
- But if the voucher is generic (like coming from Spin the Wheel) or just states QR Promo, that voucher can usually be used at any establishment that accepts GCash QR Payments (Shakeys, Puregold, National Bookstore, etc…)
Why I
cannot select the voucher for paying or it is disabled?
If you cannot do Step 6
above,
this usually means either of the two things:
- You are trying to select or use a voucher that is not accepted by that merchant. For example, you are using KFC Voucher at Wendys.
- You are trying to avail a voucher without meeting the minimum spend condition
- Your total GCash wallet balance is insufficient (most likely below 100 pesos)
Can I sell my GCash Voucher?
The GCash voucher uses the GCash app on the mobile phone. If you are planning to sell your Voucher, you have to be physically present with the buyer for he/she to use it on a selected establishment.
What is
the minimum spend required to use a Voucher?
This
depends on the voucher. You can see this condition on the text message sent by
2882 as it is not available on the Voucher Pocket section of the app of some mobile phone (it is located in the "About" section which cannot be scrolled down)
Can I use
multiple vouchers on a single transaction?
Nope.
If you try to select another voucher, it will uncheck the previous selected voucher.
For example:
- If you have a 4,000 peso voucher, you can shop at Puregold and get items that is worth 4000 and use that 4K Puregold voucher. If the total amount is excess of 4,000, it will be deducted from your GCash balance. This is why one of the requirement is that your GCash wallet balance must have sufficient amount on it
- If you have three 50-pesos voucher and you shopped at Puregold with a total amount of 200 pesos, you can only use one 50-peso voucher and the remaining 150 will be deducted from your GCash wallet balance
- If you still want to use the three 50-peso voucher, some users suggest that they have convinced the cashier to separate the receipts. While there are those who claimed that after paying, they put the items on deposit, and shopped again
What if
the cashier or merchant deny my voucher?
- Inform them that your GCash voucher has already been deducted from the app and is confirmed used. They should check their GCash telephone for the text message confirmation that contains the reference number
- Show them also reference number from phone’s app
