As can be recalled, this 1966 Ford Anglia model first appeared when Fred, George, and Ron used it to break Harry from the Dursley's. Ron and Harry then used it to fly to Hogwarts when they missed the Hogwarts Express. Unfortunately, their backup plan is not a total success because they crashed it to the Whomping Willow. The enchanted Ford Anglia, like having a will and consciousness of its own spat the two out.
However, since its owner is Ron's dad (Arthur Weasley) probably enchanted it and turned this seemingly normal muggle car to having some sort of semi sentience to protect Ron and his friends. This can be seen, when the Ford Anglia rescued Harry and Ron from the spiders inside the Forbidden Forest.
Anyway, the Ford Anglia diecast produced by Matchbox perfectly captures its paint job and even the rusty and damage details. As can be seen on the photos and video there are little brown spots on the diecast vehicle which shows Matcbox attention to detail in this diecast rreplica.
Aside from the actual movie car diecast vehicle, the card or packaging is also amazing. It does not have the regular design but Matchbox went the extra mile by giving it the Harry Potter magical vibe.
The one you see in this post is the one released in 2025 crossing 2026. But the first edition of this movie car diecast was released in 2024. I'll try to upload the photos of the First Edition and Moving Parts variation (opening trunk) once I get the chance.
