Pay Credit Card Bills Using GCash



How to pay credit card bills using GCash is now very simple and convenient. This tutorial blog will guide the user on how to use this easy payment facility thereby eliminating the need to physically go to a Bayad Center (Payment Center). This blog will also show an example of a successful BPI credit card bill payment using GCash.

Requirements
Before moving on, paying BPI credit card  bills  with GCash will require the following:
  • Credit card number or account number
  • Billing statement to see how much amount must be paid
  • Sufficient GCash wallet balance
  • GCash mobile app
Remember to have the listed items on hand to ensure succesful payment on the credit card bill

Step by step process to use GCash to pay for credit card bills

1. Open the GCash app and click on pay bills


2. Choose Credit Cards


3. Select BPI Credit Card


4. Input the required information


5. Follow the on screen instructions

Please remember that similar steps can be applied to pay for any credit card bills of any bank but with only minor changes (i.e. customer number instead of card number)

Anyway, as seen on the screenshots above, this guide used paying for a BPI credit card bill as an example. So when paying for a credit card statement of a different bank some, screenshots might be the same or may have slight differences.


Things to do and notes to remember

    Banking days does not include weekends and holidays. When paying credit card bills with GCash, it might be a good idea to do it on days that will not crossover on weekends or holidays
  • Do not pay when there is announcement of an on-going or scheduled maintenance. Usually, during such activities, it includes halting any financial transactions. It is possible that the transaction will be saved on the old system and might not be carried to the updated/newer system. To make it simple, to enjoy a truly hassle free experience, don’t pay when there is maintenance on either platforms (GCash or Bank)
  • Some bank may charge a convenience fee (processing / transaction fee). Although some banks (like BPI) waives this fee

Convenience and Quick. This basically means that payments can be done anywhere and anytime as long there is a stable internet connection and sufficient balance in the GCash wallet. People may not know this, but there is almost always long lines in bank branches and payment centers. To avoid wasting time waiting in these lines and doing nothing, simply do it at your own pace at a time you like.
