Back to the Future is an awesome franchise in the 80s in the science fiction genre. One of the main attraction of the movie series is a DeLorean car which also served as a time machine.
The DeLorean's design is futuristic and beyond its time which is why many movie car diecast collectors would want to have a diecast replica of the DeLorean vehicle for their collection.
Tomica is one of diecast manufacturers that produced this particular movie car. Although, Tomica did a decent job on its Back to the Future diecast replica, one can easily argue that the movie car replica produced by Hotwheels for the Back to the Future diecast is miles better.
However, one of the main reasons why Tomica's Back to the Future diecast is worth collecting is because of exclusivity. Unlike Hotwheels that is widely available in toy stores of different malls, Tomica's version is only available in Japan's Universal Studios.
Fortunately, I was able to score one during my Japan vacay. Enjoy the pics:
