Gin Freecs is NO MATCH against Netero

Gin Freecs is a popular character in the Hunter X Hunter universe. Sadly, a lot of people mistakes his popularity with power. It's true that Ging is one of the most powerful characters in both HxH manga and anime. However, to put him in a battle against Chairman Netero is nonsense – this simply means that Ging is no match against the powerful old chairman.

Gin's only major accomplishment shown in both manga and anime is that

1. He captured Razor

2. He is somewhat familiar with the Dark Continent

3. And he seems to have a talent of knowing things that are yet to happen.

The last one is debatable of course. If that is one of Gin's abilities or he is just super intuitive.

Anyway, first and foremost, Ging is an archeological hunter. Netero, on the other hand, is a combat specialist.

Netero loves fighting that he is no longer interested in weak opponents and only takes on the real strong ones. He is also in good terms with the Zoldycks, a very powerful group (family actually) in the Hunter X Hunter universe.

For readers who will argue that Chairman Netero is afraid of the Dark Continent, that is false -- Chairman Netero dislikes the Dark Continent as mentioned by the author in Netero Dislikes the Dark Continent?

So in a fight between Gin Freecs and Chairman Netero, the old man would surely win. Netero's fighting prowess is already shown numerous time, particularly his ultimate move. Unlike Ging; no skill of his is yet to be shown that will be on equal ground with the Chairman.

So unless more of Gin's ability is shown, the win would still go with the Chairman Netero.
